Hello!

I’m Kath O’Rourke, an experienced senior HR consultant.

 

I set up TideHR to give small and medium-sized businesses practical, straightforward HR support that makes everyday working life easier for you and your team.

​

I’ve worked across the private, public and charity sectors, including fast-growing startups and more established organisations.

 

I’ve dealt with the day-to-day realities of HR as well as the bigger picture, so I understand how people issues affect your whole business.

I’ve worked across lots of different areas of HR, from setting up systems and policies, to supporting managers, handling employee issues, shaping culture, and helping teams stay engaged and retain their best people. I’m comfortable stepping into busy environments, getting to know the business quickly, and helping leaders find practical, sensible solutions.

I also work closely with founders, senior leaders and boards, offering advice and guidance on people matters, risk and decision-making.

 

My style is calm, honest and practical. I say things as they are, and I always aim for solutions that are fair, lawful and workable in real life - not just on paper.
